I have this great, large and smart cool mist humidifier that stopped working. I did what I could do to gently clean and work on the ceramic, ultrasonic disc that is the “heart” of the humidifier and no go. Now, this was not a cheap humidifier! I did scour the maker’s website, the internet and could not find a place to get a replacement for that piece, but nothing. Knowing that it is basically a mister just like this one, I have been attempting to remove the non-working piece and replacing it with this one. Two issues, though – the first being the “housing” of the humidifier. I am trying to gently cut through the plastic at the base and haven’t gotten the old one out yet. The other is that the old one is more of a rectangular piece instead of a round, puck-like one as this one is. Last is the connection. The humidifier’s fogger has a 3-prong connection from the “puck” at the base to the top, underside of the container. This particular little puck should work great once I get it fixed up in the humidifier – I’ve already tried it in water and it does it’s misting thing perfectly. I didn’t need lights for Halloween but I may get one with lights for that purpose. For the price, this little puck puts out plenty of mist/fog! [...]
