I purchased this when my portable humidifier stopped working. It was my first experience disassembling and troubleshooting a humidifier, but it was far from rocket science. I didn’t get to far into it before I realized the issue must be the transducer. A quick Amazon search and I came upon this one. Delivery was quick. After disconnecting the connector from the bad transducer and splicing it onto the new, I closed everything up, plugged it in and voila, my humidifier spring back to life.Unfortunately though, the amount of mist created by this transducer pales in comparison to the original. I’m not sure there’s a way to tell the difference between one vs another, as I’ve searched in vain for any type of rating on these such as watts, etc. Perhaps in the near future I’ll continue researching these to find a way to tell the weak ones from the strong, but for now, I’m content with what the humidifier is putting out.
