This stop light is stamped from thin metal, the lens plastic, and the stop script over the lens from thinner tin like material. The clear lens to shine on your plate is also just a piece of plastic held in place by four digits punched into the side of the metal housing. This will allow water to get into the unit, but then again the clear plastic lens is not sealed, so it should drain out through there. The mounting holes are more narrow than most of the side mount plates, but looks like it could be modified to fit. As a stand alone stop light on a fender this will work. While quality is not great, it is balanced by the cheap price. So if you are looking to save some money, it will do.
