Metal Mosaic Bistro Patio Set with 2 Folding Chairs – Outdoor Garden Table & Chair Set
First of all, the good news is that this is solid, heavy gauge steel. QC looks good, and it comes with foam pads to protect your mini PC. There are a few “gotchas” though.#1. I wanted to use this to mount to a light pole which sits behind my desk, but that light is on a pole which is too skinny. The bracket for attaching to a pole is a simple rigid metal strap, with very little size adjustment, which means that if want to attach it to a post, you need to make sure it’s between 1.18″ and 1.65″ in diameter.Plan “B” was to mount it behind my monitor. Unfortunately, the VESA mount on the back of my monitor is recessed. The bracket fits into this space WIDTH-wise, but unfortunately it is about 1/4 inch TOO TALL! Why would you make a bracket that fits in a 100x100mm inset on width but not height? There is seriously 0 reason why this bracket has to be as tall as it is. Unfortunately, I cannot just trim off the top with an angle grinder, because then the holes won’t align. An alternative solution would be to include some spacers and longer screws in case the mounting point is inset, but that would also risk causing problems with torque, because you are already pushing the weight of your monitor farther from your mount arm, and adding the weight of a computer as well. Leverage and all that, you know?tldr; Make sure the back of your monitor has a large flat space around the VESA mounting points, or that your mounting post is the right dimension. Then you’ll be happy.
