Metal Mosaic Bistro Patio Set with 2 Folding Chairs – Outdoor Garden Table & Chair Set
I am using this weighted cord to help keep a panel drape closed. It’s between our outside back door hallway and the open kitchen doorway and tends to blow open and allow drafts into the kitchen.I used one length of the cord and ran it through the hem at the bottom of the drape. There was no need to unstitch the drape and I was able to fish the cord through without tools. You can cut the cord because it’s made up of small elongated weights on a central cord and it’s possible to cut that inner cord between weights without damaging the entire thing. The weights are enclosed in a cloth covering, which does fray. Since I’m using the weighted cord inside the drape that isn’t an issue, but I could have wrapped tape around the frayed outer covering if it bothered me. But it’s not seen and shouldn’t fray any more than it is (I confess that I picked at it to see how bad it would get as part of my review). With a single row of weighted cord I now have a drape that is just heavy enough that it “closes” across the open doorway — -that is, it stays where I put it. A second row of weights might be helpful, or overkill, so I’m holding off on that to see how this will work in the colder months when drafts are worse. The cord comes in two long lengths, each packed in a resealable plastic bag.
